Qualifications

Job Objective
  • Responsible for piping material engineering activities for various projects. This role involves ensuring the selection, specification, and procurement of piping materials meet project requirements, industry standards, and client expectations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality engineering solutions
  • Responsible Planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of Piping Material Engineering Team on the assigned project including scope, budget, deliverables, schedule, coordination of activities in consultation with Discipline Manager and Project Engineering Manager
  • Responsible for Review of engineering and design quality, technical accuracy of drawings, material quantities, specifications, procedures, etc. produced within the piping discipline
  • Review and understand Scope of work, specifications, estimating the engineering manhours during proposal phase
  • Define the stress design basis / philosophy for all load cases, specification, standards and guidelines for stress engineering execution
  • Preparation of stress critical line list. Plan, schedule and progress control for the critical computer stress calculations and visual reviews
  • Perform static analysis using CAESAR II/AUTPPIPE for the all load cases. Provide effective stress solution for the critical piping
  • Selection of spring hangers, expansion joints and special supports. Prepare data sheets, technical requisition and technical specification, as well as perform technical bid analysis for them
  • Provide technical solution for the non‑critical line by performing reviews
  • Vendor drawing review to ensure all the piping loads are within the recommended limit stress check on the IFC isometrics / pipe supports
  • Preparation of stress isometrics and stress reports
  • Lead and assist junior piping stress engineers when developing engineering deliverables
  • Review, comment and approve the outsourced piping stress engineering design deliverables
  • Provide inputs to other disciplines during project execution
  • Participate in engineering meetings
  • Provide engineering hours estimate during proposals for its discipline. Responsible for tracking engineering hours for its discipline during project execution
  • Maintain state‑of‑the‑art knowledge in its discipline in accordance with applicable codes and standards
  • Actively support, participate in, and maintain the integrity and on‑going function of the company and facility HSSE program; ensuring a safe/healthy work environment
  • Participate in Site visits as required to access the existing pipe racks for additional pipes

Expected
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Minimum of 5 years proven capability as a Senior Piping Stress Engineer role in engineering design company
  • Piping Layout and/or Materials knowledge will be preferred
  • Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of piping engineering design and analysis
  • Thorough awareness of relevant international codes and standards
  • Familiar with the typical software packages that are used for piping engineering design and selection, including 3‑D model–based design
  • Experience with Concept Selection and FEED studies
