Job summary

Wood in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Mechanical Construction Supervisor to oversee EPC contractor activities at an onshore oil & gas project. The role requires coordination with PMT and other disciplines to ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, procedures and ADNOC standards.

Candidate should have 10+ years in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical projects, GCC experience, and PMC/client-representative exposure, with strong knowledge of piping, equipment installation and HSE requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of Oil & Gas / Petrochemical experience.
• Minimum 5 years GCC experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical construction supervision experience on onshore oil & gas projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all mechanical construction activities performed by EPC Contractors and subcontractors.
• Act as the PMC Mechanical representative at site and coordinate closely with the PMT EPC Contractor and other PMC disciplines.
• Ensure mechanical construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings and specifications, project procedures and method statements, ADNOC standards and requirements.
• Review and provide technical input on construction, installation procedures, method statements, ITPs and work plans.
• Monitor installation and construction of piping systems, valves and piping components, static equipment, rotating equipment, tanks and vessels, pumps, compressors and related systems.
