Job summary

SearchPlus HR seeks a highly qualified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join a reputable UAE healthcare facility. The candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care for the mouth, jaws, and face in alignment with international standards and UAE regulations.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and surgically treating conditions, performing dentoalveolar and orthognathic procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Recognized dental degree (BDS, DDS, DMD, or equivalent).
• Specialist qualification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from a Western system (UK/USA/Canada/Australia/NZ or equivalent).
• Post‑qualification specialist experience as required by UAE licensing authority.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and surgically manage diseases and deformities of the oral and maxillofacial region.
• Perform dentoalveolar surgical procedures including complex extractions and management of infections.
• Conduct orthognathic surgery for skeletal discrepancies where trained.
• Manage facial trauma and fractures of mandible/maxilla and facial structures.
• Treat cysts, benign tumours, and other pathological conditions surgically.
• Manage TMJ disorders and related surgical conditions.
• Perform preoperative assessments, review imaging, develop treatment plans, obtain consent.
• Collaborate with orthodontists, dentists, ENT, plastic surgeons, oncologists for multidisciplinary care.
• Provide postoperative care, pain management, wound care, and follow-up.
• Maintain records and adhere to infection control and patient safety standards.
