Job summary

SearchPlus HR presents an opportunity for an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join a reputable UAE healthcare facility. The role focuses on comprehensive surgical care of the mouth, jaws, and face, aligning with international standards and UAE regulations.

The candidate will lead complex procedures, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support licensing processes. Relocation and comprehensive medical insurance are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Recognized dental degree (BDS, DDS, DMD) or equivalent; medical degree where required by licensing pathway.
• Recognized specialist qualification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from UK/USA/Canada/Australia/New Zealand or Western system.
• Post-qualification specialist experience as required by UAE licensing authority.
• Eligibility for DHA/DOH/MOHAP specialist or consultant classification.
• Willingness to relocate to the UAE.
• Valid professional registration and Good Standing certificate, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and surgically manage diseases, injuries, deformities, and congenital conditions affecting the oral and maxillofacial region.
• Perform dentoalveolar surgery, including complex tooth extractions and impacted wisdom tooth removal.
• Conduct orthognathic surgery for skeletal discrepancies where trained.
• Manage facial trauma and fractures of mandible, maxilla, and facial structures.
• Treat cysts, benign tumours, and other pathology in the maxillofacial region.
• Manage TMJ disorders and related surgical conditions within specialist scope.
• Preoperative assessments, imaging review, treatment planning, and informed consent.
• Collaborate with orthodontists, dentists, ENT, plastic surgery, oncology, and other teams.
• Postoperative care, pain management, wound care, and follow-up.
