Position Overview
Senior Operations Manager - Corporate in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a senior Education sector operations role focused on leading group-wide school operations, regulatory compliance, cost control, facilities management, transportation, health and safety, administration, and support services. This position is ideal for an experienced operations leader with strong school group experience, practical knowledge of KHDA, MOE, DHA, Dubai Municipality, and compliance audits, and the ability to drive operational excellence across multiple campuses.
Role Context
The Senior Operations Manager - Corporate will work closely with School Principals, the Senior Leadership Team, the Group Head of Operations, MSOs, procurement teams, and support departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the education group. The role requires strategic planning, standardized operating procedures, inspection readiness, corrective action planning, budget control, resource optimization, team development, and accurate reporting for senior leadership and Board-level review.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across all group schools to ensure efficient, consistent, and high-quality service delivery.
- Implement, monitor, and improve standardized operating procedures across campuses to strengthen governance and operational consistency.
- Ensure full compliance with KHDA, MOE, DHA, Dubai Municipality, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Oversee school operations including administration, facilities, transportation, health and safety, support services, and daily campus operations.
- Work closely with School Principals and Senior Leadership Teams to align operational priorities with school goals and group strategy.
- Support the Group Head of Operations in driving operational excellence, cost efficiency, regulatory readiness, and sustainable growth.
- Lead training and development initiatives for facilities teams, operations staff, transport teams, and support service teams.
- Support budgeting, cost control, procurement planning, resource allocation, and operational expense optimization.
- Coordinate with MSOs, procurement teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely service delivery and issue resolution.
- Prepare accurate operational reports, performance dashboards, compliance updates, and management summaries for Board-level review.
- Respond to inspection reports and lead corrective action plans to address compliance gaps and operational improvement areas.
- Monitor service standards across facilities, maintenance, transportation, health and safety, cleaning, security, and administration functions.
- Review operational risks and recommend preventive actions to improve safety, efficiency, and service continuity.
- Manage multiple projects with competing priorities while maintaining high standards of organization and follow-through.
- Support internal audits, external inspections, regulatory visits, documentation reviews, and operational compliance checks.
- Build strong working relationships with school leaders, department heads, vendors, regulators, and support teams.
- Promote a culture of accountability, service excellence, continuous improvement, and mission-aligned operations across all campuses.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Administration, or a related field.
- NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety certification is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive operations leadership experience.
- At least 3 years of experience within an educational group, school network, or school operations environment.
- Proven ability to manage complex school operations across multiple campuses or large education facilities.
- Strong knowledge of KHDA, MOE, DHA, Dubai Municipality, regulatory compliance audits, and inspection requirements.
- Experience overseeing administration, facilities, transportation, health and safety, support services, and campus operations.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and team development skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, optimize resources, and improve operational efficiency.
- Strong experience preparing operational reports, performance dashboards, compliance reports, and Board-level summaries.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
- Ability to remain calm, solution-oriented, and decisive in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.
- Strong proficiency in operational reporting systems, electronic spreadsheets, and data-driven decision-making.
