Job summary

Star Services in Abu Dhabi seeks a Buyer to manage procurement, negotiate with suppliers, issue purchase orders and maintain inventory. The role supports all departments, coordinating with suppliers, contractors and consultants to procure goods and services per standards and procedures.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5+ years in Oil & Gas procurement, with strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills and proficiency in procurement software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 5+ years in Oil & Gas procurement preferred.
• Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills with procurement software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Review material requisitions and plan purchase activities with suppliers and contractors to facilitate tendering.
• Coordinate with departments to approve suppliers and process purchase orders and contracts.
• Liaise with suppliers for adjustments, damaged goods, and cancellations to obtain necessary credit notes.
• Ensure customs, insurances and calibration certifications meet regulatory requirements.
• Assist in periodical reporting to support management decisions.
