Senior Oil & Gas EPC Procurement Engineer

Job summary

Penspen is seeking an experienced Engineer, Procurement with a strong Oil & Gas EPC background and 10+ years of relevant experience to manage procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials for project schedules.

The role covers procurement, expediting, vendor management, and coordination with QA/QC, logistics, and commercial teams to meet project targets and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (essential).
• 10+ years of procurement and expediting experience in oil & gas, preferably with EPC contractors or operators.
• Strong knowledge of vendor management, project procurement, and material tracking.
• Familiar with INCOTERMS, API/ASME specs and international procurement standards.
• Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Review material requisitions (MRs) and technical specifications from engineering.
• Source, evaluate, and prequalify vendors and suppliers.
• Issue RFQs, evaluate commercial offers, and participate in bid tabulation.
• Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and delivery conditions.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in coordination with commercial and legal teams.
• Ensure compliance with project procurement procedures and client requirements.
• Follow up with suppliers on order acknowledgment, production status, and delivery timelines.
• Monitor supplier progress to ensure milestones are met.
• Coordinate with QA/QC for inspection schedules and dispatch clearance.
• Work with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely and complete deliveries.
• Maintain expediting reports and dashboards for internal and client reporting.
