Job summary

Penspen Ltd. is seeking a highly experienced Junior Cost Engineer to support EPC projects in the oil and gas sector from our Abu Dhabi office. The role focuses on cost control, procurement tracking, and cost reporting to ensure alignment with project budgets and schedules.

The position requires a strong background in procurement, expediting, and vendor management, with hands-on experience in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. Excellent analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, supply chain, or related field.
• 5+ years procurement and expediting experience in oil & gas, preferably with EPC contractors or operators.
• 3+ years of EPC Experience is Mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of vendor management and Excel.
• Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Monitor actual costs against project budgets.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports.
• Track purchase orders, invoices, commitments, and accruals.
• Assist with cost forecasts and cash-flow updates.
• Identify and report cost variances.
• Maintain cost and change-control records.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and finance teams.
