Job summary

Penspen Ltd in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Engineer, Procurement with a strong background in oil and gas. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of procurement and expediting experience in EPC projects and will manage procurement activities to meet project schedules.

Responsibilities include reviewing material requisitions, sourcing vendors, issuing RFQs, negotiating terms, issuing POs, expediting, and coordinating with QA/QC, logistics, and legal teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or related field.
• 10+ years of procurement and expediting experience in oil & gas.
• Experience with EPC contractors or operators.
• Knowledge of INCOTERMS, API/ASME specs.
• Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong vendor management, project procurement, and material tracking.

Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced Engineer, Procurementwith a strong background in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of relevant experience in EPC projects, responsible for managing procurement activities and ensuring timely delivery of equipment and materials to meet project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement:

• Review material requisitions (MRs) and technical specifications from engineering.

• Source, evaluate, and prequalify vendors and suppliers.

• Issue RFQs, evaluate commercial offers, and participate in bid tabulation.

• Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and delivery conditions.

• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in coordination with commercial and legal teams.

• Ensure compliance with project procurement procedures and client requirements.

Expediting:

• Follow up with suppliers on order acknowledgment, production status, and delivery timelines.

• Monitor supplier progress to ensure milestones are met.

• Coordinate with QA/QC for inspection schedules and dispatch clearance.

• Work with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely and complete deliveries.

• Maintain expediting reports and dashboards for internal and client reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.

• 10+ years of procurement and expediting experience in oil & gas, preferably with EPC contractors or operators.

• Strong knowledge of vendor management, project procurement, and material tracking.

• Familiar with international procurement standards (INCOTERMS, API/ASME specs).

• Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and reporting skills.
