Job summary

Dubai Aviation Corporation is seeking a capacity management lead to oversee cargo capacity on a shift basis and ensure optimal utilization for flights from Dubai. You will supervise a team, analyze weekly performance data, and coordinate with pricing and procurement to maximize revenue.

Responsibilities

• Assists Line Manager with weekly cargo capacity performance data.
• Follows policies to ensure safe and secure operations.
• Leads a team of capacity management staff on shifts to process capacity requests globally.
• Manages capacity efficiency and optimizes usage to deliver high service quality.
• Plans and schedules Road Feeder Services throughout the network.
• Liaises with Procurement to identify RFS providers and finalize trucking agreements.
• Coordinates ad hoc flight capacity and manages bookings due to operational changes.
• Monitors evaluation of allotments and approvals of capacity requests.
• Ensures delivery of customer capacity commitments to maintain relationships.
• Manages capacity forecast on inbound and outbound flights including overbooking limits.
• Intervenes on queries from customer service, partners, or stakeholders.
• Liaises with Cargo Pricing to optimize revenue/yield.
• Ensures Sales Prognosis Report is prepared regularly and shared with network.
• Provides feedback to improve revenue management systems.
• Supports annual budget planning with capacity data.
• Analyzes situations and assists in cost-effective budget achievements.

Job description

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To provide guidance and supervise team members on cargo capacity management activities on a shift basis & on regular morning pattern, ensuring daily capacity utilization and booking is evaluated for flights departing Dubai Airports ensuring maximum revenue optimization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists Line Manager with weekly cargo capacity performance data.
• Follows all relevant policies, processes, and procedures to ensure operations are carried out in a safe and secure manner.
• Leading a team of capacity management staff deployed in shifts to process the cargo capacity requests globally, on the flydubai Cargo network while protecting and enhancing systemwide cargo revenue generation objectives.
• Responsible for managing capacity management efficiencies, optimizing the capacity usage, provide the highest level of service quality standards on a shift basis.
• Plans and schedules Road Feeder Services (RFS) throughout the network by identifying trucking gateways.
• Liaises with Procurement team to identify RFS providers, negotiate terms and conditions and finalize trucking agreements.
• Coordinates adhoc flight capacity and manages bookings as required due to operational changes.
• Monitors effective evaluation of allotments and approvals of capacity requests.
• Ensures delivery of key customer capacity commitments to maintain business relationships with network wide Cargo Distributors.
• Manages capacity forecast on the inbound and outbound flights including overbooking limits.
• Intercepts and takes decisions on queries and clarifications sought by customer service, interline partners, flydubai outstations, or any other stakeholders.
• Liaises with the Cargo Pricing team to optimize revenue/yield managed flights.
• Ensures that Sales Prognosis Report is prepared by capacity management team on a regular basis with available capacity and then conveyed to network.
• Provides capacity management feedback to Line Manager to improve revenue management system and performance.
• Supports the Line Manager on the annual budget planning with capacity management data.
• Analyses situations, identifies causes, and makes critical decisions in the absence of Senior Manager Revenue Optimization.
• Assists Line Manager in the analysis of cost-effective budget achievements as well as the performance of service elements.
• Reviews space allocation requests for oversized packages and supports Supervisors in decision making.
