Job summary

Apexcel India Engineering Services in UAE invites a Senior O&M Engineer to lead the operation and maintenance of electrical substations and water treatment plant systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

The role covers HV/LV substations, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, SCADA, and diagnostics; you will supervise technicians, manage spare parts, and coordinate with utility authorities; on-site shift-based work.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
10–15 years of O&M experience in substations and plants.
Experience with SCADA, PLCs, and automation is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain HV/LV substations, transformers, switchgear and protection systems.
Monitor equipment performance and ensure uninterrupted power supply.
Perform routine inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance.
Analyse faults, coordinate troubleshooting and implement corrective actions.
Maintain logs, reports and documentation of operations and maintenance activities.
Ensure safety standards and PTW compliance.
Coordinate with utility authorities and contractors as needed.
Test and maintain protection relays, circuit breakers, batteries, and SCADA systems.
Handle emergency breakdowns and restoration activities.
Implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
Ensure adherence to HSE policies and manage spare parts inventory.
