Qualifications

• Master or equivalent in electrical engineering with HVDC substation maintenance experience.
• 10 years of maintenance experience on electrical substation equipment including HVDC.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage site maintenance activities for HVDC substations.
• Plan maintenance work and ensure resource availability.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our service team involved in Annual Prevention and Corrective Maintenance project. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in HVDC Substation Maintenance involving Electrical Equipments like HVDC Invertors/ Power Transformers/ HV/MV/LV switchgear /Motors etc. You will be responsible for leading and managing the various site activities related to Maintenance work of a typical HVDC substation.

Role & responsibilities

• Ability to work with electrical data and concepts (voltage, active and reactive power).
• Ability to communicate (in English) precisely and concisely
• Ability to perform actions which imply the know-how of a technique or a technology based on detailed OEM procedures.
• Ability to perform maintenance of following equipments :

AC yard

The AC switchyard can be divided into two areas: AC equipment and the AC filter area.

AC equipment

-AC equipment: CVT, pre-insertion resistor (Circuit breaker + resistor + Disconnector)

AC Filter

-AC Filter

Transformer Area

-Surge arrester; current limiting reactor; Earthing switch; Voltage measurement transformer, filter capacitor, resistor filter, current transformer, wall bushing; surge arrester

-Single phase power transformer

Reactor Area

-Surge arrester; Converter Reactor, wall bushing

Valve Area

-Wall bushing, earthing switch, HF damping circuit, Optical Current Transformer

-Valves (9 valves per pole each 5 layers , each layer 12 cells of IGBT

DC area

-Surge arrester, current measuring devices, Voltage measurement transformer, capacitor, disconnector, earthing switch; circuit breaker

-Wall bushing

Experience in preparation of Maintenance activities and planning. Anticipation for the required volume of resources and manpower.

Ability to comply with a maintenance schedule and deadlines imposed by the COMPANY and other co-activities .

Familiar with safety procedures for granting safe access to HV-LV electrical environment. To be responsible for ensuring their own safety and that of their team on site. To serve as the safety reference point for their team

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications & Experience :

• Education: Master or equivalent in electrical engineering with substantial experience in maintenance of electrical HVDC substation equipment in (HVDC, Transformer HV MV and LV).
• Experience:

10 years in maintenance of Electrical Substation equipment ( including HVDC substation ).
