Job summary

Abu Dhabi Healthcare Company (SEHA) seeks a Neonatology consultant for Tawam Hospital in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi. The role involves senior clinical leadership, performance management, and ensuring high-quality neonatal care across the division.

The candidate should have 5+ years post-specialization in Neonatology, a valid DOH license or eligibility, and board certification in Neonatology (American/CCT UK/Australian or equivalent). Preference for experience in JCI-accredited hospitals.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialization in Neonatology.
• American Board, CCT UK, Australian Board or equivalent in Neonatology.
• Minimum 5 years of post-specialization Neonatology experience.
• Valid DOH license or eligibility in Abu Dhabi.
• Experience working within JCI-accredited hospitals is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in performance management, peer review and productivity reviews.
• Oversee clinical activities of junior medical staff and ensure quality patient care.
• Assist with scheduling and recruitment to ensure adequate medical coverage.
• Lead ward rounds and document clinical information clearly and timely.
• Promote quality improvement, audit results and CME participation.
• Foster clinical research and publication; stay abreast of medical literature.

Education

MBBS or equivalent; neonatology specialization

American Board/CCT UK/Australian Board in Neonatology

Minimum 5 years post-specialization Neonatology experience

Valid DOH license or eligibility (Abu Dhabi)

Experience in JCI-accredited hospitals (preferred)
