Job summary

Otis UAE is seeking a Senior IC to support the sales process for new equipment projects. You will work with the New Equipment Sales Engineers and cross-functional teams to estimate costs, prepare commercial submittals, and manage project economics from tender to contract.

You will coordinate with factories, design engineers and sales teams to gather data, compile material and labour costs, and build credible margins while ensuring compliance with Otis policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Sales or equivalent is required.
• Fluent written and spoken English is essential; Arabic is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in sales operations within a construction/engineering organization.

Responsibilities

• Supports estimation and sales administration for new equipment projects.
• Reviews contracts and books them on internal systems per policy.
• Estimates materials, manpower, hours, and costs to meet tender specifications.
• Coordinates with Otis factories, sales teams and design engineers to gather cost data for bids.
• Prepares estimation price lists including materials, duties, fees, tools, transport and other project requirements.
• Calculates margins and safe buffers to build competitive proposals.
• Orders material releases and maintains records of contracting activities in the E-Logistic tool.
• Reviews reports to identify trends and provide further analysis.

Role Overview

The role holder is responsible supporting the sales process for new equipment projects across Otis UAE as part of the team that support the volume sales business sales estimation and support process management involving cost estimating engineering economics and integrated project cost control for all projects. The role holder acts as the liaison for the team to connect with other regional resources factories suppliers etc. to procure all technical and commercial information to bid competitive bids. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Works closely with New Equipment Sales Engineers and provides full support in areas of estimation and sales administration.
• Follows all relevant departmental policies processes standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Reviews contracts signed by customers and books those contracts on internal systems as per policy.
• Inspects installation drawings on the basis of customer supplied drawings standard drawings.
• Estimates the type and number of materials necessary to deliver the contract against the tender specifications.
• Reviews the project specification and identifies the source of supply from Otis factories.
• Co-ordinates with different teams within Otis (factories sales teams design engineers etc.) to gather relevant cost information from for technical and commercial requirements of a sales pitch.
• Prepares the estimation price lists which contains material cost manpower hour costs material duties fees tools transportation etc. and all other requirements as per the project conditions and Otis procedure.
• Calculates the margin safe buffer to build a lucrative sales proposition.
• Orders the release of material as per approved drawings.
• Maintains the salesman records and contracting activities through E-Logistic tool.
• Records and archives all contract terms and condition as per defined process.
• Reviews key reports monthly to identify trends or metrics requiring further analysis and review.
• Prepare of technical and commercial submittals
• Prepare compliance statement
• Attend meeting with customers if needed

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering/Sales or equivalent
• Relevant certification such as Certified Sales Associate (CSA) or equivalent is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in with sales operations in a construction/engineering organization
• Fluent written and spoken English essential Arabic preferred
