Job summary

Parsons in Dubai seeks an experienced Civil Inspector to oversee microtunneling, pipe jacking and related civil works on-site. You will perform inspections, verify constructions against drawings, specs, and method statements, and document daily activities.

You will coordinate with contractors, engineers, surveyors and utilities, maintain quality records, and ensure health, safety and environmental standards are met. A technical degree and 5+ years in trenchless projects are required.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s in engineering/construction or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in microtunneling, pipe jacking or trenchless projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specs.
• Proficient in English communication and basic computer use.
• Proficiency with MS Office and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect microtunneling, pipe jacking, shaft construction and related works.
• Ensure activities follow drawings, specs, method statements and project requirements.
• Verify excavation, shaft, tunneling, pipe installation and backfilling.
• Witness and document inspections, testing and quality control per plans.
• Monitor line/level, alignment, jointing and tunneling parameters.
• Identify and follow up on non-conforming works with corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, surveyors and utilities for project execution.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and maintain site records.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety and environmental standards.
• Assist in monitoring progress and resolving technical issues related to microtunneling.
