Job summary

Reliance Human Resources Consultancy in the United Arab Emirates seeks a procurement supervisor to manage daily purchasing for MEP projects and ensure timely delivery of materials to site. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in purchasing within MEP, construction, or project-based industries.
• Good knowledge of MEP materials, BOQs, material submittals, and technical specifications.
• Experience in supplier negotiation, cost control, and procurement documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/SAP procurement systems; UAE construction market experience preferred.
• UAE experience is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily purchasing activities for MEP and project requirements.
• Source suppliers for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and firefighting materials.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate prices, and ensure competitive procurement.
• Prepare purchase orders, compare quotations, and maintain procurement documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, site teams, stores, and accounts departments.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
• Monitor procurement schedules, inventory levels, supplier performance, and project requirements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards; supervise purchase assistants and prepare regular procurement reports.
