Job summary

Abdulwahed Bin Shabib Investment Group LLC in Dubai seeks an experienced MEP Engineer to plan, review, and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for construction projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience as an MEP Engineer in building construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical installations, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP and BIM coordination is an advantage.
• Knowledge of UAE building regulations and relevant authority requirements.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Understanding of MEP testing, commissioning, quality control, and site safety procedures.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, coordination, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
• UAE construction project experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, review, and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for construction projects.
• Review MEP drawings, technical specifications, material submittals, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and civil engineering teams to resolve design clashes and site-related issues.
• Supervise the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of MEP systems.
• Ensure all MEP works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable UAE regulations, and relevant authority requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor installation quality and project progress.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and project managers to ensure smooth execution of MEP works.
• Monitor project schedules, material requirements, and manpower allocation to meet deadlines.
• Identify technical issues, troubleshoot system-related problems, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Verify the quality of materials and equipment before installation.
• Prepare progress reports, inspection requests, technical documentation, and project handover documents.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements on construction sites.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities and ensure proper handover of completed systems.
