Job summary

Target Engineering Construction Co LLC in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor with a strong Oil & Gas background to manage quantity take-offs, cost estimation, contracts, variations, and claims for mechanical works on major projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Quantity Surveying with 5–10 years of relevant experience, Excel proficiency, and familiarity with standard contracts like FIDIC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
• 5-10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Offshore, or Industrial EPC projects.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems including piping, equipment installation, structural steel, insulation, tanks, and related works.
• Experience in contract administration and claims management.
• Proficiency in Excel and QS software; familiarity with FIDIC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify mechanical quantity take-offs from drawings and specs.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flows.
• Prepare and assess variations, change orders, and claims.
• Conduct measurement and valuation of completed works.
• Prepare monthly progress valuations and payment applications.
• Review subcontractor invoices and certify payments.
• Evaluate subcontractor payments and variations.
• Assist in contract administration and commercial correspondence.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, planners, and clients on commercial matters.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities, costs, and project documentation.
