Job summary

Mtec Electromechanical Works LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking a senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the cost management of mechanical building services projects, from inception to completion.

You will develop detailed BoQs and cost estimates, negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, and manage variations and claims with robust change control processes.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree, MRICS/CQS advantageous, and at least 10 years of progressive experience on large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• MRICS or CQS is highly advantageous.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in quantity surveying within mechanical building services.
• Experience on large-scale commercial, industrial, or institutional mechanical projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management for complex mechanical building services projects, ensuring financial viability from inception to completion.
• Develop and scrutinize intricate Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and cost estimates, detailing mechanical systems and materials.
• Negotiate and finalize contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, securing favorable terms and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Manage variations and claims effectively, assessing their commercial impact and implementing robust change control procedures.
