Job summary

ALEMCO, part of ALEC Holdings PJSC, UAE, seeks a Senior Electrical Procurement Engineer to support post-contract procurement of complex building systems. You will review specs, coordinate with multiple teams, and ensure technical compliance from design to handover for iconic Dubai projects.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years within MEP engineering or procurement environments.
• Sound understanding of specifications, drawings, schedules.
• Familiarity with technical procurement trackers, gap analysis and compliance matrices.

Responsibilities

• Review Electrical specifications, drawings, BOQs, and technical requirements.
• Support preparation of RFQs and technically evaluate vendor submissions.
• Prepare and review technical submittals, compliance matrices, and technical clarifications.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Commissioning, Commercial teams, Consultants, and Suppliers.
• Review MEP system interfaces and commissioning requirements during procurement.
• Support consultant approvals and ensure technical compliance throughout the procurement process.
• Monitor procurement progress and maintain procurement trackers and technical documentation.
• Ensure procurement packages comply with project specifications, engineering standards, and governance requirements.

Are you a technically strong Electrical Engineer with experience reviewing specifications, evaluating vendors, and supporting procurement for complex building systems?

ALEMCO is looking for technically driven engineers to join our Post-Contract Technical Procurement team, supporting delivery of technically compliant procurement packages for large-scale construction projects.

Your Role

Reporting to the Procurement Package Manager / Head of Procurement, you will provide technical engineering support throughout the post-contract procurement process, ensuring Electrical systems comply with project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and design intent.

• Review Electrical specifications, drawings, BOQs, and technical requirements.
• Support preparation of RFQs and technically evaluate vendor submissions.
• Prepare and review technical submittals, compliance matrices, and technical clarifications.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Commissioning, Commercial teams, Consultants, and Suppliers.
• Review MEP system interfaces and commissioning requirements during procurement.
• Support consultant approvals and ensure technical compliance throughout the procurement process.
• Monitor procurement progress and maintain procurement trackers and technical documentation.
• Ensure procurement packages comply with project specifications, engineering standards, and governance requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 8 years' within MEP engineering or procurement environments.
• Sound understanding of specifications, drawings, schedules.
• Familiarity with technical procurement trackers, gap analysis and compliance matrices.

Highly Preferred

• Experience within the MEP contracting or engineering sector, ideally within technically driven project environments.
• Exposure to post-contract procurement, technical submittals, or engineering coordination of MEP systems and equipment.
• Experience working on commercial, infrastructure, or mixed-use developments.
