Job summary

Damac Properties is seeking a Senior Manager – Mechanical to lead the design, coordination and delivery of advanced data centre cooling and mechanical systems from concept through handover. The role demands technical leadership, strong stakeholder management and adherence to international codes and sustainability targets.

You will oversee engineering teams and external partners, drive value engineering, ensure constructability, and enable reliable, energy-efficient operations across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Project Management preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering design and project delivery.
• Minimum 7–10 years leading mechanical engineering teams for hyperscale, mission-critical, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Extensive knowledge of mission-critical cooling technologies (chilled water, direct-to-chip cooling, immersion cooling desirable).
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical engineering design and technical delivery of hyperscale and enterprise data centre projects.
• Develop engineering execution plans and technical roadmaps aligned with objectives.
• Coordinate MV/HV/LV, UPS, standby power, grounding, lighting, and related electrical infrastructure.
• Lead multidisciplinary coordination to ensure fully integrated mechanical solutions.
• Review and approve deliverables across concept, schematic, detailed design, IFC, and as-built stages.
• Identify risks and implement mitigations; support procurement with technical submissions and shop drawings.
