Job summary

Damac Properties is seeking a Senior Manager – Mechanical to lead the design, coordination, and delivery of data centre cooling and related mechanical systems from concept to handover. You will provide technical leadership, ensure compliance with codes, and drive reliability and energy efficiency across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Master's preferred in Mechanical Engineering or Project Management.
• Minimum 15 years in mechanical engineering design and project delivery.
• 7–10 years leading mechanical engineering teams for hyperscale or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience delivering data centre developments from concept to commissioning.
• Extensive knowledge of mission-critical cooling technologies.
• Experience coordinating with international consultants, contractors, equipment manufacturers, and vendors.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, IPC, IMC, CIBSE, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical engineering design and technical delivery of data centre projects.
• Develop mechanical design strategies and execution plans aligned with objectives.
• Coordinate MV/HV/LV, cooling, and related mechanical infrastructure.
• Lead multidisciplinary coordination for integrated mechanical solutions.
• Monitor consultant performance, schedules, and milestones.
• Establish mechanical standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Conduct design reviews, constructability reviews, and coordination meetings.
• Support procurement by reviewing technical submissions and shop drawings.
• Provide engineering support during FAT/SAT, commissioning, and handover.
• Mentor and develop mechanical engineering teams; support recruitment.
