Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead static equipment engineering across FEED, EPC and detailed design phases for oil & gas or petrochemical projects in the UAE. You will guide design, specification, and procurement of static equipment, ensure adherence to ADNOC standards and international codes, and mentor a multidisciplinary team.

You will coordinate with Process, Piping, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Procurement to integrate equipment requirements and review

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering; 15+ years in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical; GCC experience preferred.
  • 3+ years in a similar role for major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
  • PMC & ADNOC experience required.
  • FEED & EPC phases experience; offshore exposure beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Lead static equipment engineering activities during FEED, EPC and detailed engineering phases.
  • Provide technical leadership for design, specification, and procurement of static equipment (pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, tanks, etc.).
  • Develop and review equipment datasheets, specs, MRAs, and vendor documentation; ensure ADNOC and international codes compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all static equipment engineering activities during FEED, EPC, and detailed engineering phases of the project.
  • Provide technical leadership for the design, specification, and procurement of static equipment, including pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, tanks, separators, filters, reactors, and package equipment.
  • Develop and review equipment datasheets, specifications, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and applicable international codes and standards such as ASME, API, TEMA, and ASTM.
  • Coordinate with Process, Piping, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Procurement disciplines to ensure effective integration of static equipment requirements.
  • Review and approve vendor drawings, calculations, manufacturing procedures, and inspection requirements.
  • Support constructability reviews, value engineering studies, and cost optimization initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, constructability workshops, and technical meetings with clients, vendors, and contractors.
  • Monitor engineering progress and ensure deliverables are completed in accordance with project schedules, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and supervision to a team of Senior Engineers, and Engineers.
  • Interface effectively with clients, licensors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support successful project execution.
Minimum Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including minimum five (5) years (preferred) in GCC region.
  • Must have at least three (3) years of experience in similar position for international major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
  • PMC & ADNOC experiences are required.
  • Required experience in FEED & EPC Phases of Oil/Gas Projects.
  • Offshore project experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of international standards and codes including ASME Section VIII, API 650, API 620, API 661, API 660, TEMA, and NACE requirements.
  • Experience in technical bid evaluations, vendor management, and fabrication oversight for static equipment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural project environments.
