Job summary

Al-Futtaim Automotive in the UAE is seeking an experienced Master Technician to join the Automall Used Car Preparation team. You will diagnose complex vehicle issues, guide junior technicians, and ensure repairs are first-time accurate.

You will also be responsible for coaching peers, communicating findings clearly, and helping to optimize workshop processes and productivity while staying updated with the latest manufacturer developments.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate/diploma/degree in mechanical or automobile engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a reputable automotive workshop.
• Strong technical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex mechanical and technical vehicle issues and recommend repair solutions.
• Support junior and senior technicians with troubleshooting, diagnostics and repair.
• Provide expert guidance on difficult or recurring vehicle concerns.
• Ensure repairs are completed correctly the first time and reduce repeat or return jobs.
• Communicate technical findings and repair requirements to service advisors, workshop supervisors, colleagues and customers.
• Coordinate with workshop stakeholders to support efficient repair completion.
• Recommend improvements to workshop processes, methods, tools and equipment.
• Support improvements in technician productivity, efficiency and utilization.
• Identify technicians’ training needs and provide technical guidance.
• Continuously update technical knowledge in line with vehicle/manufacturer developments.
• Assist Parts team with accurate identification and procurement of spare parts.
