Job summary

WSP Middle East Limited – Dubai is seeking a Construction Manager (Marine) to lead all marine construction activities for Abu Dhabi Ports initiatives. The role oversees contractors, monitors progress, and ensures compliance with specifications and regulations while serving as the primary liaison with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will direct execution plans, manage safety programs, review documentation, and control budgets to deliver on-time, on-budget handover

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Marine, or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• 15+ years in marine construction, preferably port/offshore projects.
• Proven track record managing large marine contracts and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of marine construction methods, dredging, quay wall and pier works.
• Familiarity with UAE maritime regulations and Abu Dhabi Ports standards; ISO/IEC codes.

Responsibilities

• Direct marine construction activities and supervise contractors to ensure safety and quality.
• Monitor progress, resolve issues, and keep schedule integrity.
• Prepare and review construction documentation, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Manage budgets, track expenditures, and apply cost-saving measures.
• Lead safety initiatives and enforce HSE policies on site.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams for effective communication.
• Deliver final handover packages including as-built drawings and manuals.
