Job summary

WSP Middle East Limited seeks a senior Construction Manager (Marine) to direct all marine construction activities for Abu Dhabi Ports initiatives in Dubai. You will oversee contractors, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with specifications and regulations, while serving as the primary liaison with clients, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil/Marine/Structural Engineering, 15+ years in marine construction, and a proven

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Marine, or Structural Engineering.
• 15+ years in marine construction, preferably on port or offshore projects.
• Proven track record managing large-scale marine contracts.
• Knowledge of dredging, quay wall, and pier works.
• Familiarity with UAE maritime regulations and Abu Dhabi Ports standards.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• PE or Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Direct all marine construction activities for Abu Dhabi Ports initiatives.
• Manage and supervise subcontractors, ensuring performance, safety, and quality standards.
• Monitor daily construction progress, resolve technical issues, and adjust plans to maintain schedule integrity.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international maritime regulations, codes, and environmental requirements.
• Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, and internal multidisciplinary teams to facilitate seamless communication.
• Prepare and review construction documentation, including method statements, risk assessments, and progress reports.
• Control project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Lead safety initiatives, conduct site inspections, and enforce WSP's health-and-safety policies.
• Manage change orders, variations, and claims, ensuring proper documentation and stakeholder approval.
• Deliver final handover packages, including as-built drawings, operation manuals, and warranty documentation.
