Job summary

Hapag-Lloyd in Dubai invites a Senior Manager TM Uptake Management to lead the Middle East team, reporting to the Director. You will optimize vessel/voyage utilization, align with regional stakeholders, and drive process improvements using FIS and Qlikview/Qliksense.

The role requires shipping/transportation degree, several years in liner shipping, and strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Shipping, Transportation or related discipline.
• Several years of experience in liner shipping/transportation.
• Proficient with HL applications such as FIS, Qlikview and Qliksense.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the TM Uptake Management team in the Middle East, based in Dubai.
• Optimize vessel/voyage utilization on designated services and trades based on commercial guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with Regional Commercial, Regional Operations, Area Commercial Steering, Customer Service / GCC and Cargo Operations.
• Analyse optimisation potential and costs and work on proposals with TM Pricing &Steering.
• Ensure adherence to global processes and guidelines within the team.
• Regularly exchange with other team leads on best practices and expertise.
• Evaluate system and process knowledge of team members and coordinate training needs with the Director.
• Initiate FIS Allocation Management development needs and participate in projects.

We are looking for a Senior Manager TM Uptake Management to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Senior Manager TM Uptake Management will report to Director TM Uptake Management.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Leading and managing the team in TM Uptake Management Middle East, based in Dubai.
• Responsible for optimization of vessel/voyage utilization on designated services and trades based on commercial guidelines.
• Maintain close collaboration and cooperation with Regional Commercial, Regional Operations, Area Commercial Steering, Customer Service / GCC and Cargo Operations.
• Analyse optimisation potential and costs and work on proposals together with TM Pricing&Steering.
• Ensure adherence to global processes and guidelines within the team .
• Regular exchange with other team leads on best practices and expertise.
• Regular evaluation of system and process knowledge of the team members, coordination of training requirements with the Director TM Uptake Management.
• Initiate FIS Allocation Management development needs, participate in projects and roll-out.
• Organize working time requirements and workload in the teams and appropriate distribution of services, as well as back-up or replacement arrangements.
• Alignment on team relevant topics with all stakeholders.
• Point of entry for general trade related issues.

Requirements for the role

• Degree in Shipping, Transportation or related discipline.
• Several years of experience in liner shipping/ transportation industry.
• Operational background and Commercial Steering experience welcome.
• Comprehensive knowledge about HL applications (FIS, Qlikview, Qliksense).
• Analytical, methodical and efficient working style.
