Job summary

Specialist Crew Management & Training (m/f) at Hapag-Lloyd in Dubai seeks a professional to lead recruitment, training and crew planning for seagoing personnel. The role ensures staff are qualified and prepared to meet the company’s objectives across vessels in our fleet.

You will develop cadetship programs, maintain crew data and handle visa and onboarding processes, while coordinating with agencies and managing monthly reports. Fluency in English and maritime knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Maritime and Transport or related field.
• Merchant marine study with sailing on board container ships in operational level or related maritime education with work experience is mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in crewing or related role.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment for directly employed staff and manage applications.
• Develop education systems and targeted cadetship programs for the fleet.
• Proactive monthly crew planning on vessels and liaison with agencies for crew changes.
• Handle visa processes, health certificates, endorsements, payroll and related compliance for seagoing staff.
