Job summary

Hapag-Lloyd AG in Dubai is seeking a Senior Manager TM Uptake Management to lead the team and drive optimization of vessel/voyage utilization across designated services, aligned with global guidelines. You will coordinate with Regional Commercial, Operations, and Customer Service while managing workloads and mentoring staff.

You will implement new concepts within the network, ensure process adherence, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups to improve efficiency and service

Qualifications

• Degree in Shipping, Transportation or related discipline.
• Several years of experience in liner shipping/ transportation.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the TM Uptake Management Middle East team based in Dubai.
• Optimize vessel/voyage utilization on designated services per commercial guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with Regional Commercial, Regional Operations, Area Commercial Steering, Customer Service / GCC and Cargo Operations.
• Analyse optimization potential and costs and work on proposals with TM Pricing & Steering.
• Ensure adherence to global processes and guidelines within the team.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Manager TM Uptake Management to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Senior Manager TM Uptake Management will report to Director TM Uptake Management.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Leading and managing the team in TM Uptake Management Middle East, based in Dubai.
• Responsible for optimization of vessel/voyage utilization on designated services and trades based on commercial guidelines.
• Maintain close collaboration and cooperation with Regional Commercial, Regional Operations, Area Commercial Steering, Customer Service / GCC and Cargo Operations.
• Analyse optimization potential and costs and work on proposals together with TM Pricing&Steering.
• Ensure adherence to global processes and guidelines within the team .
• Regular exchange with other team leads on best practices and expertise.
• Regular evaluation of system and process knowledge of the team members, coordination of training requirements with the Director TM Uptake Management.
• Initiate FIS Allocation Management development needs, participate in projects and roll-out.
• Organize working time requirements and workload in the teams and appropriate distribution of services, as well as back-up or replacement arrangements.
• Alignment on team relevant topics with all stakeholders.
• Point of entry for general trade related issues.
