Qualifications

• 8-12 years of relevant experience in investment strategy or related areas.
• Background across investment strategy, asset allocation, global markets, research, institutional investing.
• Strong understanding of multiple asset classes and global capital markets.
• Ability to convert complex market information into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in asset managers, sovereign funds, pension funds, investment banks or sophisticated institutional environments would be highly relevant.
• CFA, MBA or similar postgraduate qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop views on global markets, macroeconomic developments and cross-asset investment themes.
• Produce investment research and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Assess emerging opportunities, market trends and strategic investment themes.
• Prepare concise investment papers, presentations and executive-level briefings.
• Review portfolio performance, financial proposals and strategic initiatives.
• Support ad-hoc investment analysis and high-priority strategic projects.
• Build strong relationships across institutional investment communities, including asset managers and investment banks.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders on broader portfolio and investment-related matters.

I’m supporting a highly regarded institutional organisation with the appointment of a senior investment professional to join its strategy and investment function.

This is an interesting opportunity for someone who sits at the intersection of global markets, investment strategy, research and portfolio oversight and enjoys providing senior decision-makers with clear, commercially relevant investment insight.

The role will have broad exposure across asset classes and will involve:

• Developing views on global markets, macroeconomic developments and cross-asset investment themes
• Producing investment research and recommendations for senior leadership
• Assessing emerging opportunities, market trends and strategic investment themes
• Preparing concise investment papers, presentations and executive-level briefings
• Reviewing portfolio performance, financial proposals and strategic initiatives
• Supporting ad-hoc investment analysis and high-priority strategic projects
• Building strong relationships across the institutional investment community, including asset managers and investment banks
• Working closely with senior stakeholders on broader portfolio and investment-related matters

This is not a traditional deal execution role. The focus is on investment thinking, markets, portfolio insight and providing high-quality advice to senior decision-makers.

What we’re looking for:
