Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a seasoned Head of Investments to lead the investment activities of a sophisticated private family office in the UAE. You will develop and execute the family’s investment strategy, oversee portfolio construction, asset allocation and risk management, and manage relationships with external investment partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the family office’s overall investment strategy and asset allocation framework.
• Lead investment activity across public markets, private equity, venture capital, real estate, private credit and alternatives.
• Source, assess and execute direct and fund investment opportunities.
• Lead financial analysis, valuation, due diligence and investment structuring.
• Prepare and present investment recommendations to the Principal and Investment Committee.
• Monitor portfolio performance, risk, liquidity and capital allocation.
• Conduct regular portfolio reviews and recommend rebalancing or exit strategies where appropriate.
• Build and maintain relationships with fund managers, banks, asset managers, and co-investment partners.
• Identify attractive global investment themes, sectors and geographies.
• Negotiate commercial terms and coordinate due diligence.
• Oversee external investment managers and evaluate their performance against benchmarks.
• Develop investment reporting, governance and risk management frameworks.
• Lead and develop the internal investment team as the platform grows.
• Collaborate with the Principal on long-term wealth preservation and capital growth objectives.

Head of Investments – Family Office

Location: UAE

We are seeking an experienced Head of Investments to lead the investment activities of a sophisticated private family office.

This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for developing and executing the family’s investment strategy, overseeing portfolio construction and asset allocation, evaluating new opportunities, and managing relationships with external investment partners.

The successful candidate will bring strong investment judgement, commercial acumen, and experience managing capital across multiple asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the family office’s overall investment strategy and asset allocation framework.
• Lead investment activity across public markets, private equity, venture capital, real estate, private credit and alternative investments.
• Source, assess and execute direct and fund investment opportunities.
• Lead financial analysis, valuation, due diligence and investment structuring.

Candidate Profile

• Significant investment experience gained within a family office or private equity firm.
• Strong track record of evaluating and executing investments.
• Broad understanding of private markets.
• Excellent financial modelling, valuation and commercial due-diligence capabilities.
• Demonstrable experience in portfolio construction, asset allocation and risk management.
• Strong network across the regional and/or international investment community.
• Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment with direct exposure to the Principal.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex investment decisions.
• High levels of discretion, integrity and professional judgement.

Preferred Background

• 10+ years of relevant investment experience, with meaningful experience in a senior investment role.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline; CFA, MBA or equivalent qualification advantageous.
• Experience investing across the GCC and international markets would be beneficial.
• Previous family office experience is highly desirable but not essential.
