Job description

Job Description The Portfolio Manager will provide executive leadership across a diversified portfolio of public equity, private equity, and other investments. This position will guide portfolio strategy, evaluate performance, challenge assumptions, and ensure that capital remains aligned with long-term investment objectives. Success will involve balancing active stewardship of existing holdings with the identification of attractive growth opportunities. The role will also contribute to decisions involving partnerships, joint ventures, and new investment structures, translating complex analysis into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders and supporting disciplined execution across the investment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set and refine portfolio priorities across public equity, private equity, and other asset classes.
  • Direct the ongoing review of investment performance, valuation, risk exposure, liquidity, and strategic fit.
  • Lead the assessment of promising growth companies and determine their suitability for investment.
  • Develop investment recommendations supported by rigorous financial, commercial, market, and strategic analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to expand or strengthen the portfolio through acquisitions, partnerships, and joint ventures.
  • Oversee due diligence, transaction evaluation, investment structuring, and post-investment monitoring.
  • Engage with investee companies, advisers, co-investors, and external stakeholders at executive level.
  • Present portfolio insights, proposed actions, and capital allocation considerations clearly to decision-makers.
Benefits
  • Executive-level influence over a broad and evolving investment portfolio spanning multiple asset classes.
  • Direct exposure to growth companies, strategic investments, partnerships, and joint venture opportunities.
  • Meaningful scope to shape capital allocation priorities and contribute to long‑term portfolio expansion.
  • A senior stakeholder environment in which investment recommendations can directly affect strategic outcomes.
  • Opportunity to work across varied investment situations rather than within a single asset class or transaction type.
  • Professional growth through engagement with complex commercial, financial, and ownership decisions.
  • A Dubai‑based role positioned within a finance‑led organisation with an active appetite for new opportunities.
  • Compensation and executive employment provisions aligned with the seniority and scope of the position.
Other

The position is based in Dubai and requires a portfolio leader who is comfortable moving between strategic oversight and detailed investment evaluation. Its scope will suit an accomplished professional who can protect and enhance existing holdings while maintaining a disciplined pipeline of new opportunities. Applicants should be prepared to demonstrate clear examples of investment judgement, portfolio impact, stakeholder influence, and value creation. Experience across public markets, private capital, growth investments, strategic partnerships, or joint ventures will be relevant where it supports the broader mandate.

Desired Candidate Profile
  • Extensive experience in portfolio management, private equity, public equity, investment management, corporate development, or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated responsibility for diversified portfolios, complex investment decisions, or multi‑asset capital allocation.
  • Strong capability in financial analysis, valuation, investment appraisal, risk assessment, and portfolio performance interpretation.
  • Proven experience evaluating growth companies and converting investment theses into actionable recommendations.
  • Practical understanding of partnerships, joint ventures, transaction processes, and post‑investment value creation.
  • Executive presence with the credibility to influence investment committees, senior leaders, shareholders, and external partners.
  • Commercial judgement, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to make balanced decisions under uncertainty.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to distil detailed analysis into concise strategic conclusions.
