Job summary

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) seeks an ESG & Sustainability leader to ensure adherence to robust ESG policies, KPIs, and reporting across its international subsidiaries. You will align global operations with the ESG strategy and drive compliance with international requirements.

You will develop and monitor KPIs, oversee data collection and reporting, and work with subsidiary leadership to embed sustainable practices while managing training, risk, and continuous improvement across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred.
• Minimum 12+ years in ESG, sustainability, or CSR with 5+ years global context.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement ESG policies across international subsidiaries and ensure alignment with global standards.
• Define and establish measurable ESG KPIs tailored to local contexts within the global framework.
• Oversee collection, validation, and reporting of ESG data for global disclosures.
• Engage stakeholders across leadership, regional teams, and partners to drive adoption.
• Deliver training programs on ESG policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
• Identify ESG risks in international operations and recommend mitigations.
• Monitor global ESG trends and update policies, KPIs, and procedures.

JOB PURPOSE

Ensure that all international subsidiaries of EGA adhere to robust Environment, Sustainability, and Governance (ESG) policies, procedures, and reporting standards.

Align global operations with the company’s ESG strategy by defining and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensuring compliance with international and corporate ESG requirements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Policy and Procedure Development: Develop, implement, and monitor ESG policies and procedures across all international subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with global standards and local regulations.
• ESG KPI Development: Define and establish measurable ESG KPIs for international entities, tailored to local contexts while aligning with the company’s global reporting framework.
• Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the collection, validation, and reporting of ESG data from international subsidiaries to ensure accurate and timely submission for global ESG disclosures.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Work with subsidiary leadership, regional teams, and external partners to ensure consistent adoption of ESG initiatives and foster a culture of sustainability across the organisation.
• Training and Capacity Building: Develop and deliver training programs to educate subsidiary teams on ESG policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
• Risk Management: Identify and assess ESG-related risks in international operations, providing recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance sustainability performance.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor global ESG trends, regulations, and best practices to recommend updates to policies, procedures, and KPIs to maintain leadership in sustainability.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance, operations, legal, and other departments to integrate ESG considerations into business strategies and decision-making processes.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications is preferred.
• Minimum of 12+ years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or corporate social responsibility, with at least 5 years in a global or international context.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing ESG policies, procedures, or reporting frameworks.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of global ESG frameworks and standards.
• Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across different regions.
• Analytical skills to define, measure, and report on ESG KPIs.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse teams.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and ESG reporting software.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus for working with international subsidiaries.
