Job summary

Sigma Earth is seeking a senior ESG advisor to lead engagements on materiality, strategy, and reporting, ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory expectations.

You will guide clients on GRI, SASB, TCFD, and Integrated Reporting, conduct climate risk assessments, and oversee ESG assurance per ISAE 3000/3410. You’ll mentor junior staff, support business development, and manage engagements from planning to delivery while controlling risks and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in ESG or sustainability roles such as strategy, reporting, assurance, or climate risk analysis.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Engineering, Business, or related fields.
• Professional certification in ESG or Sustainability is required.
• Strong understanding of ESG reporting frameworks like GRI, SASB, TCFD, and the GHG Protocol.
• Experience working across multiple markets or geographies; GCC market exposure is a plus.

About the Role

• Lead ESG advisory engagements including materiality assessments, ESG strategy formulation, and reporting, ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory requirements.
• Advise clients on key ESG frameworks such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP, and Integrated Reporting, supporting compliance with evolving disclosure standards.
• Conduct climate risk assessments and help clients identify ESG-related risks and opportunities to strengthen long-term resilience.
• Perform sustainability assurance work in accordance with ISAE 3000 and ISAE 3410, covering planning, execution, and review of non-financial disclosures.
• Supervise, guide, and mentor junior team members, review their outputs, and provide constructive feedback to ensure quality delivery and professional growth.
• Support business development activities including proposal development, presentations, and client engagements to expand ESG advisory services.
• Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of projects while maintaining proper documentation and proactively managing risks and client expectations.
• Assist in engagement management, including financial tracking, billing, collections, and coordination with project leaders on client matters.
• Build and maintain strong relationships within the Risk Advisory Services team and across other business divisions.
• Contribute to training, mentoring, and development of team members to strengthen overall capability.
• Support ESG and sustainability thought leadership initiatives within the organization.

Key Experience Requirements

• Professional certification in ESG or Sustainability is required.
• Strong understanding of ESG reporting frameworks such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and the GHG Protocol.
• Experience working across multiple markets or geographies is required.
• Exposure to GCC markets is an advantage.
• International experience across regions will be considered a strong plus.
