Role Context
The Senior Manager - Internal Communications will translate organizational priorities into clear and relevant communications for employees across Majid Al Futtaim. The position partners with business leaders, People and Organization, Corporate Communications, and transformation teams to ensure employees understand strategic decisions, leadership expectations, cultural priorities, and important business developments. By combining editorial judgment with channel management, stakeholder engagement, employee insight, and performance measurement, the role will improve communication consistency and support a more connected employee experience. The manager will also help teams communicate effectively during periods of change, organizational transition, crisis, and heightened employee interest.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop internal communication strategies that support business priorities, organizational culture, leadership agendas, and transformation programs.
- Convert strategic objectives into practical communication plans, audience segments, key messages, timelines, channels, and measurable outcomes.
- Create leadership messages, executive presentations, employee announcements, newsletters, frequently asked questions, campaign content, and intranet articles.
- Adapt complex business information into clear, accurate, and engaging communication for varied employee audiences.
- Manage internal campaigns that improve awareness, participation, understanding, and alignment across the organization.
- Maintain consistent messaging across corporate, business unit, leadership, and People and Organization communications.
- Manage and improve employee communication channels, including intranet platforms, newsletters, email, presentations, digital screens, and collaboration tools.
- Establish editorial calendars and coordinate content priorities, approvals, production schedules, and publication dates.
- Partner with senior leaders to shape authentic and audience-relevant leadership communications.
- Prepare executive briefing materials, talking points, speeches, scripts, presentations, and employee engagement content.
- Support organizational change by developing communication plans that explain the purpose, impact, timing, and employee actions associated with each initiative.
- Coordinate with change teams to identify employee concerns, communication risks, and areas requiring additional clarification.
- Develop culture and engagement campaigns that reinforce organizational values, desired behaviours, and employee recognition.
- Support crisis and sensitive employee communications with appropriate speed, accuracy, confidentiality, and stakeholder alignment.
- Build strong working relationships with Corporate Communications, People and Organization, business leaders, functional teams, and communication partners.
- Advise stakeholders on audience needs, message clarity, communication timing, channel selection, and potential employee reactions.
- Monitor employee feedback, engagement levels, channel usage, readership, participation, and campaign performance.
- Use communication metrics and qualitative insights to identify gaps and improve future content and channel effectiveness.
- Maintain internal communication standards, templates, governance processes, approval controls, and content repositories.
- Apply artificial intelligence tools to support drafting, editing, personalization, content adaptation, and engagement analysis.
- Review all artificial intelligence-assisted outputs for accuracy, tone, context, confidentiality, and brand alignment.
- Encourage communication best practices and help stakeholders improve the quality of employee-facing content.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Media, Public Relations, Business, or a related discipline.
- 7-9 years of professional experience in internal communications, employee engagement, corporate communications, or organizational change communication.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing enterprise or business-wide internal communication strategies.
- Strong background in leadership messaging, executive communications, and senior stakeholder support.
- Experience communicating organizational change, transformation programs, cultural initiatives, and business priorities.
- Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and storytelling skills across digital and traditional employee channels.
- Ability to simplify complex or sensitive information without losing accuracy or important context.
- Experience managing intranet content, newsletters, communication calendars, presentations, and employee campaigns.
- Sound understanding of employee audience segmentation, channel strategy, engagement measurement, and communication governance.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to advise business leaders and challenge unclear communication requests.
- Ability to work closely with People and Organization, change management, Corporate Communications, and operational teams.
- Experience using employee feedback and performance data to improve communication planning and execution.
- Strong judgment when handling confidential, crisis-related, leadership, or reputation-sensitive information.
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence-assisted communication tools and responsible human review practices.
- Organized and proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and approvals.
