Job summary

KPMG Lower Gulf Limited in Abu Dhabi seeks a high-performing Manager – Governance, Risk & Compliance Services to lead complex engagements across Internal Audit, ICOFR, ERM, and Corporate Governance within the Financial Services sector.

The role requires 8–10 years in advisory, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity, and strong regulatory knowledge; you will mentor teams and drive business development while upholding KPMG standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, internal auditing or equivalent.
• Professional certifications such as CIA/CA/ACCA/CISA/CFE/CRMA/BCM/CCGP (mandatory or in advanced stage).
• 8–10 years of experience in Internal Audit, ICOFR, ERM, Corporate Governance, IA Quality Assurance.
• Minimum 2+ years in a managerial capacity.
• Strong exposure to Financial Services regulatory environment.
• Proven experience managing 3–5 engagements concurrently.
• Strong commercial awareness and engagement economics management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic a strong advantage).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical mindset and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple complex client engagements, ensuring delivery within timelines, budget and quality.
• Plan, execute, review and report engagements; oversee engagement economics including budgeting and resource planning.
• Review and sign-off on key deliverables; act as primary client contact for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with internal risk procedures and regulatory requirements for FS clients.
• Provide regulatory guidance and lead knowledge sharing on FS frameworks (CBUAE, DFSA, ADGM, IFRS, Basel).
• Drive business development within Financial Services; lead proposals and client presentations; identify cross-sell opportunities.
• Lead innovation, standardization, automation and analytics in service delivery; develop new offerings.
• Lead, mentor and develop teams; conduct performance reviews and manage allocations.
