Job summary

WhiteCrow Research Pvt. Ltd. invites a Senior Manager - Electrical to lead the electrical engineering strategy across major real estate and infrastructure projects in the UAE.

You will translate development briefs into clear design criteria, supervise multidisciplinary teams, and ensure deliverables meet regulatory and contractual requirements. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university; a master's degree is advantageous.
• Professional engineering registration, chartership or recognized project-management certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE electrical regulations, utility and authority requirements, international codes, sustainability principles and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering strategy and delivery for assigned projects, translating briefs into design criteria and governance controls.
• Manage MEP consultants, specialists, contractors and suppliers to ensure timely, compliant deliverables.
• Direct the design of electrical power, lighting, earthing, ELV, ICT, AV and security systems across all design stages with coordination.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, SIRA and other authorities.

As a Senior Manager - Electrical, you will be responsible for...

• Leading the electrical engineering strategy and delivery plan for assigned company projects, translating development briefs and operational requirements into clear design criteria, scopes of services, technical standards, deliverables and governance controls.


• Leading the technical evaluation, appointment and performance management of MEP consultants, specialist designers, contractors and suppliers, ensuring competent resources, timely deliverables and compliance with contractual obligations.


• Directing and assuring the design of electrical power, lighting, emergency power, earthing, lightning protection, ELV, ICT, AV and security systems across concept, schematic, detailed design, tender and IFC stages, ensuring full multidisciplinary coordination, constructability and operability.


• Ensuring all electrical designs, calculations, specifications and installations are complying with company requirements, applicable UAE regulations and the requirements of DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, SIRA, telecom providers and other relevant authorities.


• Providing senior technical input to feasibility studies, procurement strategies, tender documents, bid evaluations and technical clarifications, and recommending appointments based on compliance, capability, lifecycle value and project risk.


• Driving value engineering, standardization, energy efficiency, smart-building integration and lifecycle-cost optimization without compromising safety, quality, customer experience, maintainability or performance.


• Governing construction-phase technical submissions, including shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, design changes and technical deviations, ensuring decisions are timely, documented and aligned with approved design intent and change-control requirements.


• Monitoring site execution through targeted inspections, technical audits and progress reviews; directing corrective action for quality deficiencies, non-conformances, interface issues and emerging risks, and escalating matters affecting safety, cost, programme or handover readiness.


• Leading electrical testing and commissioning governance, integrated systems testing, authority inspections, energization and performance verification, ensuring approved procedures, complete records and safe, reliable operation of all systems.


• Managing electrical handover and close-out, including authority NOCs and approvals, as-built drawings, asset data, operation and maintenance manuals, training, warranties, spares, snag closure and defect liability obligations, in coordination with company operators and end users.


• Maintaining clear oversight of electrical cost, programme, procurement status, technical risks, changes and consultant/contractor performance, providing accurate reports, forecasts, recommendations and timely escalations to Project Delivery leadership.


• Leading, coaching and developing the electrical engineering team; allocating resources across projects, promoting knowledge sharing and lessons learned, and establishing consistent technical standards and best practices across the company portfolio.

What you already have...

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university; a master's degree is advantageous.


• Professional engineering registration, chartership or recognized project-management certification is preferred.


• Strong knowledge of UAE electrical regulations, utility and authority requirements, international codes, sustainability principles and safe systems of work.


• Minimum 12-15 years of progressive electrical engineering experience in major real estate or infrastructure developments, including at least


• five years in a management or technical-leadership role with accountability across design, construction, testing, commissioning, authority approvals and handover.


• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary consultants, contractors and specialist systems across multiple concurrent projects in the UAE or a comparable regulatory environment.
