Job summary

Client of Redfish Solutions is seeking an experienced Lead Principal Electrical Engineer to join its growing MEP team in Dubai. You will take technical and strategic ownership of multi-disciplinary projects, guiding design, delivery, client liaison and risk management through concept to handover.

Qualifications

• 10–12+ years of electrical engineering and project delivery experience.
• At least 4 years in a senior leadership role in the Middle East.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects across mixed-use, high-rise, hospitality, residential, retail, workplace and infrastructure.
• Extensive knowledge of UAE regulations and international standards.
• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering; Chartered Engineer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership across electrical engineering and project delivery.
• Lead and review electrical design deliverables including calculations, specifications, drawings and submissions.
• Ensure designs comply with UAE authority requirements including DEWA, DDA, Civil Defense.
• Oversee integration of electrical systems with wider MEP and multidisciplinary services.
• Develop innovative, cost-effective engineering solutions and support project lifecycle.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to building a high-performing MEP team.
• Support commercial management, procurement, risk management and project delivery.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Principal Electrical Engineer to join a growing MEP engineering team in Dubai

This is a senior leadership position suited to an accomplished electrical engineering professional with a strong background in building services design, project delivery and technical leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading multidisciplinary projects, providing technical direction and supporting the continued growth and development of the electrical engineering function. You will take ownership of the technical, managerial and commercial aspects of projects, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams to deliver high-quality, coordinated and commercially successful solutions.

Provide senior technical leadership across electrical engineering and project delivery Lead and review electrical design deliverables including calculations specifications drawings and technical submissions Ensure designs comply with UAE authority requirements including DEWA DDA Civil Defense and other relevant regulations Apply international codes standards and industry best practice throughout the design and delivery process Lead the integration of electrical systems including power distribution lighting life safety ICT and ELV with wider MEP and multidisciplinary services Oversee technical quality design coordination and buildability across projects Conduct technical audits design reviews and value engineering exercises Develop innovative technically robust and cost-effective engineering solutions Represent the organisation at client consultant and contractor meetings and project progress reviews Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle from concept and design through to construction and completion Resolve complex technical contractual and project-related issues Provide leadership and mentoring to engineers and contribute to building a high-performing MEP team Support commercial management procurement risk management and successful project delivery Promote a culture of technical excellence accountability collaboration and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 10 12+ years' experience in electrical engineering and project delivery.
• At least 4 years' experience in a senior leadership position such as Principal, Associate, Technical Lead or equivalent within the Middle East.
• A proven track record delivering complex projects across sectors such as mixed-use, high-rise, hospitality, residential, retail, workplace and infrastructure.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical building services design, site execution and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulations, authority requirements and international engineering/design standards.
• Experience managing technical quality and delivering projects from design through construction.
• Strong commercial understanding, including contracts, procurement and risk management.
• Excellent communication, leadership and client/stakeholder management skills.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering; a Master's degree would be advantageous.
• Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineering accreditation such as CEng or PE would be highly desirable.
