About the Role

The Senior Manager – Bid & Cost Management plays a critical leadership role within Sanad Aerotech's Aviation & Aero Engine MRO division. Reporting to the Director – Commercial & Sales, this position oversees the Bid Management and Cost & Profitability Control functions. The role is pivotal in driving strategic direction, operational governance, and continuous improvement across bid processes and cost management activities. By ensuring disciplined tender procedures, accurate commercial proposals, rigorous cost and revenue modelling, and effective risk assessment, the Senior Manager supports sustainable contract profitability and business growth. This role also interfaces closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership, contributing to complex negotiations, decision-making, and capability development.

Your Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Provide direction and oversight for bid and cost management teams, establish KPIs, lead talent development, and foster continuous improvement.
• Bid Management: Oversee end-to-end bid processes ensuring governance compliance, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, review commercial proposals, and support negotiations.
• Cost and Profitability Management: Analyze MRO operations and contract performance to identify cost-saving and profitability improvement initiatives, ensure accurate financial modelling and reporting.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary interface with internal departments and external partners, lead collaborative meetings, and align commercial strategies.
• Financial Performance: Monitor key financial metrics, manage risk and opportunity identification, prepare reports for senior leadership, and ensure compliance with financial controls.

Who we are looking for

We seek a seasoned professional with a Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields, accompanied by at least 10 years of experience in commercial management within the Aviation or Aero Engine MRO industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles managing specialist teams and possess deep expertise in bid and tender management, financial modelling, cost control, and profitability improvement. Strong strategic leadership, commercial acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across diverse functions are essential. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and intercultural intelligence to work effectively in an international environment are also required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems such as Oracle, and data visualization tools is expected.
