Senior Lifting Supervisor – Pumping Station Projects

Job summary

Emarat Aloula Contracting seeks an experienced Lifting Supervisor to oversee lifting operations for rehabilitation and upgrading of pumping stations across Abu Dhabi. You will plan, coordinate, supervise, and ensure safe execution of lifts within live facilities, coordinating with construction, HSE, QA/QC, and client representatives.

The role requires 8–10 years of UAE/GCC lifting supervision experience, strong knowledge of lift plans, rigging, and crane safety, and valid competency

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Valid Lifting Supervisor Certification (Mandatory). Appointed Person for Lifting Operations (APLO) preferred.
• LEEA, CPCS, NPORS, CITB, ADNOC or equivalent lifting qualifications are advantageous.
• Driving licence in UAE is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise routine and critical lifting operations per Lift Plans, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and PTW.
• Coordinate lifting activities with cranes, telehandlers, forklifts, and rigging gear.
• Ensure operations are safe in live pumping stations and restricted environments.
• Review Lift Plans, crane configurations, rigging, load calculations, and ground conditions.
• Conduct pre-lift meetings and toolbox talks for clear understanding of procedures and controls.
• Coordinate daily lifting activities with Project Engineers, Construction teams, HSE, consultants and client reps.
• Verify crane operators and riggers hold valid competencies.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international lifting standards.
• Stop unsafe lifting and report conditions; participate in incident investigations.

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification
