Job summary

Aventus Global Talent is seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Credit in the UAE to lead wholesale credit underwriting for corporate and commercial banking clients. You will review complex proposals, model cash flows, and ensure alignment with risk appetite and credit policies.

You will oversee end-to-end credit approvals, monitor exposures, and collaborate with Relationship Management, Risk, and Credit Committees to support sound lending decisions and portfolio quality.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of experience in wholesale credit, corporate banking, or credit risk within banking or financial services.
• Strong background in credit underwriting, with proven experience assessing large corporate and/or SME lending transactions.
• Deep understanding of financial statement analysis, credit structuring, and risk assessment techniques.
• Experience working within credit approval processes and presenting to credit committees.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and front-office teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and sound commercial judgement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the credit assessment and underwriting of wholesale lending transactions across corporate and commercial banking clients.
• Review and analyse complex credit proposals, including financial analysis, cash flow modelling, and industry risk assessment.
• Provide independent credit recommendations and ensure alignment with the bank's risk appetite and credit policies.
• Oversee end-to-end credit approval processes, including structuring, documentation review, and covenant analysis.
• Monitor existing wholesale credit exposures and proactively identify emerging risks or early warning indicators.
• Partner closely with Relationship Management, Risk, and Credit Committees to support sound lending decisions and portfolio quality.
