Job summary

Aventus Global Talent is recruiting a Credit Risk Manager for a well-established regional bank in Dubai. This role provides independent credit oversight across HNWI, retail and SME lending portfolios, applying rigorous risk judgement to support sustainable growth.

You will evaluate repayment capacity, collateral strength and product risk, contribute to Credit Committee processes, monitor portfolio health, oversee IFRS 9 staging and ECL provisioning, and help drive risk automation and policy

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
CA or CFA would be advantageous.
5–7+ years’ credit underwriting experience within UAE banking, ideally in private banking or private/wealth division.
Solid understanding of Private Banking, Wealth Management, Consumer Banking and SME products.
Advanced Excel skills and strong organisational ability.

Responsibilities

Deliver independent credit risk assessments for HNWI, consumer and SME clients.
Evaluate repayment capacity and collateral strength to keep lending within risk appetite.
Assess a broad product range including securities-backed lending and real estate–backed lending.
Support the Credit Committee process with credit packs and minutes.
Monitor portfolio health by tracking excesses, past dues and covenant breaches.
Oversee IFRS 9 staging and ECL provisioning and grading of collateral.
Review credit policies and lending authority frameworks; produce portfolio MIS.
Contribute to credit automation and process improvements across Risk function.
