Job summary

Black & Grey HR is seeking a Joinery Cost Estimator in Dubai to manage all cost estimation activities during the pre-contract phase of client projects. You will prepare accurate, competitive bids by analyzing drawings, specifications, and tender documents, visiting sites, and coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant work experience in cost estimation for joinery/fit-out/interior contracting.
• Pre-contract estimation experience including tendering, bidding, BOQ preparation, and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Own all estimating work for joinery and fit-out projects during tendering and bidding.
• Review drawings, specs, BOQ, and tender documents to define scope.
• Visit sites during bidding to gather information affecting cost and feasibility.
• Determine labour, material, equipment, and time requirements from plans and documents.
• Prepare detailed bills of quantities with clear specifications for each project.
• Develop complete, itemized cost breakdowns for materials, labour, subcontractors and overheads.
• Interpret technical specifications to prepare competitive tender pricing.
• Coordinate with production and workshop teams to align estimates with manufacturing capabilities.
• Engage suppliers and subcontractors for quotations and material availability.
• Analyze contractual terms and provide clarifications as needed.
• Identify and address inconsistencies in tender documents before submission.
• Assemble complete bid packages with required documentation and cost data.
• Regularly update and back up historical cost data for future estimating.
