Job summary

Juma Al Majid Holding Group L.L.C. in Dubai seeks an Estimator – Interior Fit-Out to prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for interior fit-out, joinery, and refurbishment projects.

You will review tender documents, perform quantity take-offs, prepare BOQs, and obtain supplier quotations, supporting the commercial team to secure profitable projects while maintaining company standards.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out materials, finishes, and construction methods.
• Proficiency in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, and cost estimation.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Bluebeam or similar quantity take-off software.
• Familiarity with estimation software such as Candy CCS, CostX, PlanSwift, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents.
• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs for architectural fit-out, joinery, ceilings, flooring, partitions, finishes, and MEP works.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing for interior fit-out and refurbishment projects.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Analyse project scope, identify risks, and highlight exclusions or value engineering opportunities.
• Prepare comprehensive tender submissions, cost breakdowns, and commercial proposals.
• Coordinate with the design, procurement, engineering, and project teams during the tender stage.
• Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings to assess project requirements.
• Update and maintain cost databases, supplier price lists, and historical project costs.
• Assist in budget preparation, cost planning, and feasibility studies.
• Participate in tender clarifications, negotiations, and post-tender meetings.
• Ensure estimates comply with company standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
• Support the handover of awarded projects to the operations team.
