Job summary

Core42, a leader in AI-powered cloud infrastructure, seeks a Senior Java Developer to design and build high-scale backend platforms and microservices. You will work with OpenStack components (Nova/Neutron/Cinder) and cloud-native patterns to deliver resilient systems.

You will lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate across teams while ensuring secure, scalable services with Spring Boot 3, Java 17+, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years backend development with Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x.
• Proficiency in Spring Security, RESTful API design, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Nova, Neutron, and Cinder in OpenStack.
• Spring Data JPA/Hibernate experience.
• PostgreSQL and Redis expertise.
• JUnit 5, Mockito, and Testcontainers for testing.
• Docker, Kubernetes, containerized deployments.
• Gradle or Maven build tools.
• Knowledge of Keystone, Glance, and Octavia.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• IaaS microservices development for Compute, Networking, and Storage.
• OpenStack API integrations using Spring Cloud OpenFeign and REST clients.
• Optimize backend performance: latency, memory usage, and threading in high-throughput systems.
• Implement security using Spring Security and Keystone.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines, containers, and Kubernetes deployments.
• Build distributed systems with Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x for infrastructure management planes.
• Design RESTful APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger and pagination.
• Model data in PostgreSQL and use Spring Data JPA/Hibernate.
• Lead testing with JUnit 5, Mockito, and Testcontainers.
• Mentor engineers and drive best practices in Gradle/Maven.
