Job summary

Dubai Insurance Co. is seeking an experienced Senior IT Technical Lead to oversee and lead the company’s technical and infrastructure designs, activities, and governance. The role focuses on compute, system, network engineering and cybersecurity across the DIN environment.

The candidate will supervise Windows/Unix OS, Oracle/SQL databases, DR planning, and cloud technologies while coordinating with vendors and leadership to meet service levels.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and systems management.
• MCSE / MCSA certification or equivalent.

Dubai Insurance is looking for an experienced Sr. IT Technical Lead to oversee and lead DIN’s Technical and Infrastructure designs, activities, and governance. The position will oversee and will be responsible for the technical aspects of DIN’s systems which includes but not limited to compute, system, network engineering and cybersecurity for the organization.

POSITION TITLE: Senior IT Technical Lead

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Infrastructure Administration Skills:

• Administrating and maintaining company’s Windows network domain.
• Administrating and maintaining the company’s entire IP network.
• Administrating and maintaining the company’s Storage Area Network
• Administrating and maintaining the company’s entire Internet setup.
• Administrating and maintaining Windows and Unix OS environments.
• Administrating and maintaining Office 365 and SharePoint.
• Administrating and maintaining Data Management requirements for DIN Systems.

Databases Administration Skills:

• Database administration following best practices.
• Overseeing and planning Database recovery and DR setup.
• Database security, performance tuning and monitoring covering objects, tablespaces, and space management.
• Planning, installing and configuring Database back-ups for Oracle and SQL DB’s
• Creation of scripts in UNIX, SQL and Oracle for task automation
• Knowledge of Oracle database architectures (Single Instance & RAC) and related utilities and tools.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server database (2016 and Higher) architectures (Single Instance and HA) and related utilities/tools.
• Ability to apply Patches to Oracle and SQL Databases
• Experience in DB creation, user, roles, Tablespaces, data files, tables, indexes and views creation and maintenance
• Defining database standards and procedures to cover instance parameters, object sizing, storage.
• Defining procedures for installs, upgrades, requirements, security, and backup recovery.
• Hands on knowledge on troubleshooting of databases problems and performance using Oracle/SQL Server auditing features, dynamic performance views, server alert files, and tracing facilities.

Supervisory Skills:

• Maintains contact with IT suppliers, maintains knowledge for current technology, equipment, prices, and terms of agreements to minimize investments to meet established service levels.
• Responsible for Cloud hosted technologies and oversight of SLA and reporting.
• Reviews and recommends approval of hardware, software acquisitions and maintenance contracts, soliciting involvement and participation of other leadership team members as appropriate.
• Researches, evaluates, selects, and recommends changes and improvement to existing infrastructure systems as required.
• Stays current with advances and trends in technology, as well as legislation related to technology that might affect the security and network services that IT provides.
• Time Management Skills by creating and keeping deadlines.
• Demonstrates organizational skills as supervisor/in-charge.
• Coordinating Resources both internal and external
• Incident Management: Resolve single- and cross technology, independently working with team members to resolve unusually complex or cross technology incidents.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Computer Engineering/Graduate with min. 5 years’ experience
• MCSE / MCSA Certification
• Proven experience in maintaining similar scope of DIN technical scope.
• Develops, implements, and maintains corporate policies, directives, and standards through the delivery of secure, high quality, meaningful, reliable, and actionable information for board members, employee and regulatory bodies as required.
• Maintaining IT Infrastructure, Storage Area Network, Security, Virtualization, Email communication

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• At least five (5) years of recent Systems and DB Administration.
• AT least five (5) years in a leadership / supervisory role.
• Knowledge in network and system administration
• Knowledge in Database Administration with focus on Oracle & SQL
• Evidence of continuing education
