Job summary

Halian is seeking a Senior IT Engineer in Abu Dhabi to provide advanced technical support, maintain enterprise IT infrastructure, and drive security, reliability, and performance of IT systems.

You will lead technical initiatives, support end users, contribute to IT projects, and collaborate across teams to align technology solutions with business objectives. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills, with a focus on service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
• 5–8 years in end-user support and enterprise IT environments.
• Hands-on with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and virtualization technologies.
• Experience managing enterprise security solutions, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
• Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM frameworks desirable.
• Certifications such as Azure Administrator, M365 Administrator, ITIL, CCNA preferred.
• Experience in construction/engineering/real estate or project-driven industries advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level technical support to end users by diagnosing and resolving complex hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
• Manage and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Assist in planning, design, and execution of IT projects including upgrades and deployments.
• Participate in PoC initiatives to evaluate new technologies and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve complex technical issues and ensure seamless service delivery.
• Communicate and validate architecture and designs with stakeholders and IT leadership.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs and identify opportunities for service improvement.
• Implement data retention, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
