Mashreq Bank PSC in the United Arab Emirates seeks an Assistant Governance Manager in the Mortgages department to support the Director in Business Controls, Risk & Governance, focusing on robust risk and governance frameworks.

The role involves investigating issues, ensuring governance and control duties meet deadlines and quality standards, and coordinating with teams to remediate CRS, FATCA, EID, and KYC cases. This is an UAE-nationals-only, office-based position.

Responsibilities

To provide valuable support to the Director- In Business Control & Governance to manage robust risk and governance framework.
Investigation and management of the issues as required.
To perform all duties assigned with respect to Governance & controls as per the expected TAT and quality standards.
Monthly MER tracking, follow up for closure and reporting.
Prepare Incentive payout for mortgage team as per approved plan.
Mortgage broker payout as per agreed contracts.
Entering mortgage payments in vendor management system to ensure timely payments.
To conduct regular visits to Vendor offices and check calling activities, transmittals, Chubb records, applications, and clean desk policy adherence.
To coordinate with CAM/Business on remediation/closure of CRS, Fatca, EID, KYC Compliance Exit cases
Review CM request/complaints received from CXCG, Branches, Sales & DBC for exceptional cases and obtaining approval as per ADM.
Reviewing and obtaining approvals to onboard CMs under MER.
To keep a track of the SOP, SLA’s, OPM documents for revision and update on a regular basis
To report potential frauds to F&I for further investigation
Conduct RCSA sample test as per the required format, report exceptions to business and follow up for closure.
Review and rase incidents for ORE as required.
Review of applications (CASA for KYC Quality in specific incl. all other checks up to system update)
To ensure execution and completion of adhoc projects assigned by line manager.
Support business for audit readiness.
Auto BCM - Reviews and Approvals
Calling broker clients to ensure no frauds, as per sop.
Sales mis tracking and reporting accurately and business support.
Timely closure of all audit items, RAR and QA issues
Training new hires and creating back up to ensure smooth workflow
