Job summary

Confidential Careers in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Internal Audit professional to contribute to risk-based audit activities, strengthen governance and internal controls, and support effective risk management across the organisation.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders to evaluate business processes, identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with regulatory and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, ACCA or CA.
• Strong professional experience in internal audit, risk management, governance or related assurance functions.
• Experience managing complex audit assignments and engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of internal controls, risk assessment, audit methodologies and regulatory compliance.
• Experience within large, complex or regulated organisations is advantageous.
• Familiarity with UAE regulatory frameworks would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute risk-based internal audit plans and assignments.
• Lead financial, operational, compliance and governance audits.
• Evaluate internal controls, risk management frameworks and business processes.
• Identify control gaps and recommend practical improvements.
• Prepare audit reports and present findings to senior management and relevant committees.
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.
• Support regulatory reviews, special investigations and advisory assignments.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodologies, processes and team capabilities.
