Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced PMC Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer to join ADNOC Gas projects in Abu Dhabi. You will lead I&C activities from FEED through start-up, review and approve critical documents, ensure ADNOC standards compliance and coordinate with multi-discipline teams.

The role requires 15+ years in oil & gas, strong DCS/SIS/ESD/PLC/SCADA experience, and a solid track record in PMC/EPC environments. Aqualified professional with ADNOC familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 15+ years of oil & gas experience, with substantial experience in senior/lead I&C roles.
• Experience with gas processing, gas compression, LNG, NGL, gas treatment or related hydrocarbon facilities is highly relevant.
• Strong experience in PMC/EPC project environments.
• Familiarity with ADNOC engineering standards and project specifications.
• Experience with DCS, SIS/ESD, F&G, PLC, SCADA and industrial communication systems.
• Knowledge of IEC 61508/61511, ISA standards, API and relevant international instrumentation standards.
• Experience participating in HAZOP, SIL/LOPA and other processes of safety studies.
• Strong coordination and technical review skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Instrumentation & Control engineering activities for ADNOC Gas projects from FEED through detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables prepared by EPC contractors and engineering consultants.
• Ensure designs comply with ADNOC standards, project specifications, international codes and applicable HSE requirements.
• Review and approve Instrument Index, Instrument Datasheets, I/O Lists, Instrument Location Plans, Instrument Hook-up Drawings, Control System Architecture, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Logic Diagrams, Control Narratives, Alarm & Trip Settings, Cable Schedules, JB/Marshalling Drawings, Instrument Installation Drawings, MTOs and material requisitions.
• Review engineering calculations for control valves, PSV/ESD interfaces, flow measurement, level measurement and instrumentation sizing.
• Review DCS, SIS/ESD, F&G and PLC engineering and ensure appropriate system interfaces.
• Coordinate I&C activities with process, mechanical, electrical, piping, civil, telecom and other disciplines.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL assessment/LOPA, SIL verification, alarm management and constructability reviews.
• Review EPC contractor/vendor technical documents and provide technical comments and approvals.
• Evaluate technical bids and participate in technical bid evaluations (TBE) and vendor selection.
• Attend FAT, SAT, inspection and testing activities for instrumentation and control systems.
